WEEKENDS usual updates!

oh man, i realised i haven't blog for quite a number of days and whenever i load onto my page, i feel gulity to see the same post over & over again.. so taking time off my sunday night to blog for my few sweet readers ;p

friday night was spent in Singapore Swimming Club (SSC) with family cos my aunt just bought her membership there. gotta make full use of it right! so we had a very cosy dinner at the coffee house with the typical local delights and western food. then headed outide by the pool to have some cakes and coffee while the kids & e men went for bowling, the ladies (including me) sticked our butts to the chairs.. chatted and laughed to the sound of the live band there.. woo! guys with good vocals on guitar will impress most girls i wld say.

we stirred our coffee till ard 11pm, most of us were still relunctant to head home, so aunt suggested we head for KTV! its the first time the whole family headed for KTV altogether and i do think we shld do it more often..

we laughed over this uncle of mine who was damnn engrossed into his singing yet he kept going out of tempo. hahaha! it was damn funny. we laughed our heads off man. it was fun and i enjoyed myself very much. singing with family u dun have to care too much abt being ma-lu. heh, just sing ur heart out and laugh over it..

thats the KTV room with half of the people gone - to the loo.
very cosy. with good sound system. comfortable seats and cushions..
at very affordable rates! $20 for such a room for every hour..
drinks at considered cheap too.. cocktails at $5 and mocktails at abt $4 :) cheap huh! as compared to harry's bar

went off ard 1am aft midnight and we are planning to go again next week - for poolside BBQ dinner!

and then.. guess what?

on Saturday morning, i needed down to SSC again! for swim and sun tanning with Huiyee & Tim.

i took a cab frm my place at 9.30am to pick Tim up then to Huiyee's place to pick her up. guess what? when we reach Huiyee's place, she was still bathing.. grrr. so end up we gotta get outta the cab laaaaaa..

den i was thinking, how come she needs to bath when we're gonna swim? she came down with a small bag and she looked and stared hard at my BIG bag with all the swimming stuff. den Huiyee realised we're going swimming today.

she forgot when she was the one who planned it. GOSH. ok, but we knw this is so-huiyee laaa. haha! cos it was her, so i wasn't that angry after all. i knw she is just blur - by nature. hahaaa..

and the next thing is, she had her period, so she couldn't swim.

nevertheless, the plan was carried out cos i was already in my costume and Tim had already had his trunks on. so Huiyee decided not go into the waters, dry tanning in short ;)

the weather wasn't in favour of us. the sun wasnt that bright & soon aft heavy grey clouds brought drizzle.. :(

and so.. we had to take our leave.

shower shower shower. blow my hair. dry my hair!

- lunch at the club -

den we cabbed down to parkway's Giant cos Houseman Tim had to do some grocs shopping. its more like household shopping laa! he had to buy detergent, toilet roll, maggie mee, tooth paste. wah liewww! hahaha. just look at him.

and also, since we were at the supermarket, we decided to buy ingredients to cook dinner at Huiyee's place.

i decided on Fried Hokkien Mee, and Huiyee wanted to make us Tequila Pork Ribs and some apple caramel dessert. Tim couldn't decide (as usual) so we deemed him as helper.. :p

got back to Huiyee's place and the ZzZz-BUG start to catch me.. so to counter attack its attack, me and Tim started off with dinner preparation even though it was only 4pm.

but on 2nd thought, luckily we started early, dinner was only ready at like 6 plus? hahaa!

eh, u guys knws whats the most sickening and tiring part of cooking? to chop and mince GARLIC! wa kaozzz.. its stinky its an essential step tt u cant omit and whats more.. very effortful and time consuming.. thats why its so sickening.

aft much effort spent on piece of garlic, i decided to give it up and searched ard for blender while tim was the more patient one who continued with the chopping of garlic. im as impatient as usual.. grrr..

aft 1 hour of garlic-affair we went on with our cooking! yay! fun part knocks in..

TA-DAH!

hokkien prawn mee. eh though looks kinda messy and un-appetizing.. it tasted like real hokkien mee.. very alike! it IS hokkien mee what. heh..

and that was one of the side dish i prepared too

clam with stir fry garlic, onions and chilli with chardonnay sauce frm marks and spencer..

YUMMM. its damn good. but Tim insisted its not my cooking skills, its the sauce that makes it good..

Huiyee was busy with her korean drama, she only joined us in the kitchen sometime later. no pics of her pretty delicious Tequila Pork Ribs - too busy cooking laaa..

and her Apple Caramel.. its actually thin slice of green apple toasted on pan with melted brown sugar sauce drizzle on top and den serve with caramel sugar.. sounds damn sweet? i dont really enjoy sweet stuff but its still acceptable for me.. i like it actually! :) cos of the tingle sourness in the green apple.. taste gd!

aft dinner, my parents came to pick me. cos Houseman Tim have soooo many things to bring home, i gave him a lift. IIIIIII gave him a lift. i drove my dad's car and sent him home. officially the first friend who sat in 'my' car since 24th July :p lucky man eh! hahaaaa~

and that sums up my lil weekends..

before the very dreadful week ahead - at work.

good thing is my event is nearing, though still very much brainless work.. but im getting more busy nw! :)
